TEN COUNTRIES

The ten countries are:

1. France
2. Germany
3. Hongary
4. Italy
5. The Netherlands
6. Poland
7. Slovenia
8. Spain
9. Sweden
10. UK

METHODS

In each country a national team will assess the measures that hold schools, teachers and pupils in these countries together, where possible and feasible and as far as contributing to an optimal educational climate. Measures, policies and context are at points obviously different between the countries. The differences will be the object of comparative analysis and assessment. In that frame attention will also be paid to shared principles and aims, measures and 'good practices'.
The national studies will rely predominantly on the existing knowledge base in the countries.

In the concluding phase of the study we will consult experts in all other EU Member States on their relevant national and local observations and comments.
